Up for sale is a beautiful 1936 Delaware Tercentenary silver half dollar, graded MS 65 by NGC in the special VaultBox – Series 5 holder. This is a high-grade example of one of the most historic and popular early U. Type: Delaware Tercentenary Commemorative Half Dollar. Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper – 12.5 g, 30.6. Mint: Philadelphia (no mintmark – all were struck at Philly). Grade: MS 65 (Mint State 65) certified by NGC. Holder: NGC VaultBox – Series 5 (see photos for full label and cert number). Eye appeal & surfaces. Coin shows original light golden / champagne patina with subtle hints of pastel toning under a light. Strong luster rolls across both sides – exactly what you want to see on a classic commem in MS65. Obverse: Old Swedes (Holy Trinity) Church in Wilmington, Delaware-windows, door frames and tower details are sharply struck, with only light contact ticks in the open fields.
