Up for sale is a beautiful 1936 Delaware Tercentenary silver half dollar, graded MS 65 by NGC in the special VaultBox – Series 5 holder. This is a high-grade example of one of the most historic and popular early U. Type: Delaware Tercentenary Commemorative Half Dollar. Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper – 12.5 g, 30.6. Mint: Philadelphia (no mintmark – all were struck at Philly). Grade: MS 65 (Mint State 65) certified by NGC. Holder: NGC VaultBox – Series 5 (see photos for full label and cert number). Eye appeal & surfaces. Coin shows original light golden / champagne patina with subtle hints of pastel toning under a light. Strong luster rolls across both sides – exactly what you want to see on a classic commem in MS65. Obverse: Old Swedes (Holy Trinity) Church in Wilmington, Delaware-windows, door frames and tower details are sharply struck, with only light contact ticks in the open fields. The rays breaking through the cloud above the church are nicely defined. No problems, damage, or cleaning-just a bright, original classic commemorative in a fresh NGC holder. Obverse design: Old Swedes Church, dedicated in 1699 and one of the oldest churches in continuous use in the U. With a cloud and rays above symbolizing divine guidance. Designed by sculptor Carl L. Schmitz, chosen via a competition judged by U. Mint Chief Engraver John R. Sinnock and sculptor Robert Tait MacKenzie. Well folks, PCGS Delivered. This listing is for one (1) 1920 Pilgrim Tercentenary Commemorative Silver Half Dollar Graded MS-64 by PCGS conserved in a Gold Shield Blue Label Holder. This coin has the FS- 901 (B) Reverse Die Break Variety. I don’t see these very often in a slab and this one is neat. It has nice original tone and luster that sets the coin apart. I wanted to keep this one, but I will find another of this Variety for the grandsons collection. The pics are all courtesy of PCGS TruView and my Craptacular equipment. It wasn’t too hard to get the toning shown on this coin. It still looks way better in hand. I only use photo editor to crop out messy desk backgrounds and never edit images otherwise. Please note luster, shadows, and light reflection are not to be confused with color or toning on the coin. The coin in the pics is the coin you will receive. Sorry, no international buyers.
