Minted to commemorate the Centennial of the famous Battle of the Alamo in the war of Texas Independence. The obverse face depicts an American Eagle clutching and oak branch in its claws seated in front of a lone star. The reverse design incorporates a winged female figure of Victory. She holds an olive branch in her right hand while her left rests on a model of the Alamo. Above the wings are the six flags that flew over Texas in its history. Beneath the wings are portraits of General Sam Houston on the viewer’s left and Stephen F. Austin on the right. Please view photos and feel free to ask questions. We are open to offers.
