A genuine 1936 Battle of Gettysburg Anniversary Commemorative Silver Half Dollar Coin, in BU Very Choice Uncirculated Mint State Condition. This historic 90% silver half dollar commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. On the obverse, two Civil War veterans one Union, one Confederate stand shoulder to shoulder. UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and BLUE AND GRAY REUNION encircle the design. The reverse shows a double-bladed fasces between Union and Confederate shields. Encircling are BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG, 75TH ANNIVERSARY and the dates 1863 and 1938. The date 1936 is also shown, just above HALF DOLLAR.
